My Background

Why photogrpahy?

Ever since I stole my grandma's flip phone to take pictures of my Jenga tower during a family function, I have been fascinated with cameras. My dad then got my mom a camera for her birthday that I immediately snatched and took pictures of flowers in my backyard.

I love being able to capture detail and moments that we may not see in passing glance. I have always loved the idea that photography can document things that may never exist again, and photos are the only way we may be able to feel and remember.

Dear BYU-Idaho...

I attribute most of my portfolio images to my job as Assistant University Photographer for BYU-Idaho. Working amongst such incredible mentors and leaders my time at BYU-Idaho has taught me valuable skills that I will carry through for the rest of my life. Thank you to BYU-Idaho for teaching me how to be a better artist, professional, and friend.
